The Naandi Foundation ‘Sports for Life’ programme began in 2018. It is a multi-sports grassroots programme for 180,000 underprivileged girls throughout India; many of whom live in rural areas. This programme is built on the back of the Nanhi Kali education initiative for girls that has been thriving for over two decades and has helped over 450,000 girls graduate. Through Sports for Life, we are endeavouring to afford girls, aged 6-16 years, the opportunity to live active and healthy lives; starting them on a sport journey for life. We are looking to integrate health knowledge and an active lifestyle into the lives of these girls. This programme is driven by 6500 women sports allies.
