Mutaz Essa Barshim is a Qatari high jumper. The world's second all-time performer in his discipline, Mutaz Essa Barshim is a four-time world champion with three outdoor titles and one indoor title, and shared the gold medal at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics with Italy's Gianmarco Tamberi. Committed to the peace through sport movement, Mutaz Essa Barshim is a member of the Champions de la Paix club.
