BIO

Benjamin Boukpéti is a Togolese kayaker who offered Togo its very first Olympic medal by winning the bronze medal in K1 slalom at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. After his sporting career, Benjamin Boukpéti wanted to become socially involved in order to develop sports in Togo, and is a member of the Champions for Peace club, for which he regularly promotes sport as a tool for building peace.
