H.E. Dr. George Manneh Weah is the President of the Republic of Liberia in office since 22 January 2018. A former Liberian football star, he became the first and only African winner of the Ballon d'Or in 1995. A true example for the Liberian people during his sporting career and despite the context of civil war tearing his country apart, he chose to enter politics to embody this example.
